Glass stays the working surface throughout. The colour fuses into the glass body during firing, so it never sits on top as a coating. That means it will not scratch or haze. The tiers and their high-rim plates and bowls hold that finish through the glasswasher at 90°C/200°F. They resist chipping under handling and carry no lead or cadmium.
