Instruments for Professionals

o   We use pigments that are exclusively Non-toxic, Lead, and Cadmium-free, passing both Californian and Japanese regulations for tableware that comes in contact with food.
o   All glass items are dishwasher safe in temperatures below 90°C / 195°F and freezer safe to -20°C/ -4°F.
o   Nonglass items (metal, wood, etc) are not dishwasher safe and should only be cleaned with a damp cloth. Items that have metal parts attached are recommended to be washed at low temperatures because the metal parts will get hazy, blurry, or dull. Items denoted with a red flag are not dishwasher safe because high temperatures will result in adhesive failure.
o   Heat Retention. Our glass has qualities like ceramics. It takes approximately 20 minutes for the temperature to drop from 100°C/212°F to 40°C/104°F.
o   Oven safe in temperatures up to 120°C / 250°F for five hours. We fire pigments in high temperatures and fuse them INTO the glass body. Colors will not be a separate layer “on top” of the glass body. Thus, colors will not become hazy or flake off with usage.
o   We use only citric acid-resistant pigments protecting our dinnerware against food ingredients that contain up to 4% citric acid such as vinegar, passion fruit, lemon, etc.
o   Our dinnerware is lightweight. Weight will not exceed the weight of a porcelain or ceramic plate of a similar shape or size.

Impact and chip resistance. Plates are fired at high temperatures with rounded edges , both factors increase impact resistance structurally. In a standardised ASTM C368 test, two leading porcelain plates with anti-chipping guarantees chipped at 30 ft-lb. Our fine dining plate held at 50 ft-lb , nearly double , with the rim intact. Colour durability. All colours are fused permanently into the glass body at high temperature , not applied as a coating layer on top. The practical result: colours cannot become hazy, flake off, or fade with use. They withstand professional dishwashers at up to 90°C for 1,000 or more cycles, tested against the Winterhalter Gastronom GS29 benchmark.

Scratch resistance. Standard stainless-steel cutlery is generally softer than soda-lime glass and will not scratch it under normal service. Colours are acid-resistant against citric acid up to 5% concentration , vinegar, lemon, and passion fruit included. What appears as scratching is typically surface residue, removable with alcohol.

Food safety. All pigments are non-toxic, lead-free, and cadmium-free , permanently fused into the glass, not sitting on the surface. The specification passes both California Proposition 65 and Japanese food-contact regulations. No harmful substances migrate into food under normal use or sanitisation.
