About The Torch Hotel, Doha

The Torch is one of Doha’s most prominent landmarks. Furthermore, at 300 metres it is currently the tallest building in Qatar, view the Arabian Desert Catalogue, offering a 360-degree panoramic view of the capital. Moreover, this iconic tower, also known as Aspire Tower, was designed in 2006 as a celebration of earth and sky and served as the focal point of the 15th Asian Games. In addition, The Torch is located in the Aspire Zone, Doha’s sports city, housing a luxury hotel with state-of-the-art sporting, leisure, and spa facilities. The hotel had a soft-launch in October 2011 and opened its doors with 167 modern rooms and suites, three signature restaurants, lounges, a business centre, and numerous leisure facilities. Therefore, MyGlassStudio worked closely with the hotel’s opening team to design a chocolate amenity box collection and dedicated amenity range that reflects The Torch’s unique architectural identity.

MyGlassStudio designed a full collection of hotel food amenity box and room amenity pieces for The Torch Hotel. Furthermore, the range includes glass fruit plates and a chocolate amenity box for turndown service. Moreover, all pieces feature clear glass with a white stripe pattern. This pattern directly mimics the LED mood light stripes created on the room walls by the hotel’s 12-colour in-room lighting system. Therefore, each piece blends seamlessly into the room while also accentuating its stylish features.

The Torch Hotel’s interior caters to modern travellers seeking contemporary luxury. Furthermore, room interiors use primarily neutral tones, white, beige, and brown, with vibrant bursts of colour from the mood lighting. Moreover, the décor features sleek, simple lines and glass wall panels with Arabic design details. MyGlassStudio’s designers reflected this aesthetic in the room amenity pieces. In addition, the shapes across the entire collection are square and rectangular, browse the Square & Rectangular Plates collection. Therefore, square fruit plates and rectangular amenity boxes complement the dominant geometric forms of the room décor.
