Modern Dinnerware Design for Le Petit Palais, Jumeirah Frankfurt
MyGlassStudio designed a versatile modern dinnerware design collection for Le Petit Palais, a bistro and café venue at Jumeirah Frankfurt. Furthermore, the hotel opened in August 2011 as the first Jumeirah property in continental Europe. Le Petit Palais sits on the hotel’s ground floor adjacent to the MyZeil shopping centre. Moreover, it combines the atmosphere of a casual bistro with a French-style café offering pastries and high tea service. Therefore, the dinnerware design had to serve multiple dining occasions across a single day, from breakfast and light lunch to high tea and evening canapés.
About Le Petit Palais
Le Petit Palais opened on 1 September 2011, as part of the hotel’s official opening. Furthermore, the venue features warm shades of brown, beige, and orange that create a vibrant and welcoming dining atmosphere. In addition, the décor combines elements of clear glass and metal, the same materials MyGlassStudio used throughout the dinnerware design to ensure harmony between the tableware and the interior.
Dinnerware Design. Glass, Metal and Multifunctional Pieces
MyGlassStudio’s modern dinnerware design for Le Petit Palais combined glass bowls and platters, high tea stands, and buffet items. Furthermore, the goal was to create dinnerware styles that worked across multiple dining formats. Moreover, the same pieces served equally well for buffet display, high tea service, and canapé presentation. This multifunctionality gave the venue’s team the flexibility to adapt quickly between service occasions without switching equipment.

Furthermore, the dinnerware patterns and shapes throughout the collection stayed clean and understated. Moreover, clear glass paired with metal frames allowed the warm tones of the venue’s interior to show through. In addition, the pieces included a round wheel buffet display, a small buffet stand with glass bowls for salads, sauces, or sweets, and long glass platters for desserts and finger food. Therefore, every surface had multiple uses, precisely the dinnerware styles the venue needed.
Dinnerware Patterns. Cone Stands and Dessert Platters
Among the standout elements in the collection, the glass cone stands offered individual dessert and appetizer presentation in a striking vertical format. Furthermore, the dessert platter gave petit fours and macarons an elegant display surface for high tea service. Moreover, these dinnerware patterns reinforced the French café aesthetic of Le Petit Palais. In addition, by combining multiple serving formats into a single cohesive collection, MyGlassStudio gave the venue a functional yet stylish tabletop identity.
