Black and Gold Dinnerware at Max on One, Jumeirah Frankfurt
MyGlassStudio designed elegant black and gold dinner plates for Max on One, the signature restaurant at Jumeirah Frankfurt. Furthermore, the hotel opened in August 2011 as the first Jumeirah property in continental Europe and part of the Palais Quartier redevelopment. Moreover, the hotel’s interior features warm tones of walnut, honey, and nutmeg, designed by Peter Silling and Associates. In addition, each of the 218 rooms contains an original artwork by German artist Hartwig Ebersbach. Therefore, the restaurant dinnerware needed to feel as artistically considered as the rest of the property.
About Jumeirah Frankfurt
Jumeirah Frankfurt sits in Thurn-und-Taxis square, close to the financial district and the MyZeil shopping centre. Furthermore, the hotel’s dining offer includes Max on One, Ember Lounge and Bar, and Le Petit Palais bistro. Moreover, the hotel spans 25 floors and features a ballroom, a conference floor, and the signature Talise Spa. MyGlassStudio collaborated closely with the hotel’s opening team to create a wide range of glass designs, from room amenities to restaurant dinnerware.
Max on One. The Artistic Vision Behind the Black and Gold Dinnerware
Executive Chef Martin Steiner leads Max on One and brings an Austrian influence to local German cuisine. Furthermore, the restaurant emphasises freshness, it even harvests its own honey from beehives on the hotel’s rooftop. Moreover, Japanese designer Takashi Sugimoto designed the restaurant space with several thematic dining areas. These include a Chef’s Table overlooking the open kitchen, a private dining area, and a lounge serving tapas and light snacks.

The Black and Gold Dinnerware Design. Batik Pattern and Warm Palette
MyGlassStudio worked closely with Chef Steiner to design restaurant tableware that accentuates the artistic ambiance of Max on One. Furthermore, the design centred on creating a sophisticated and artsy table setting to complement the hotel’s contemporary art-driven décor. Moreover, the elegant collection uses warm colours and soft shapes throughout. In addition, show plates received particular attention. Each show plate features a “Batik” design in which black forms the base and gold is traced on top. Therefore, each plate is different and unique, much like the Ebersbach paintings that fill the hotel’s rooms.
