About The Met Hotel, Thessaloniki
The Met Hotel is one of Thessaloniki’s most distinguished luxury properties. Furthermore, described as “a unique blend of modern sophistication and sublime elegance,” the hotel enriches the city’s fine dining and entertainment scene with two restaurants and three stylish bars. Moreover, under the philosophy of “gourmet delights in elegant settings,” the hotel invited MyGlassStudio to design tableware that accentuates its restaurants’ refined character. In addition, this post covers the fine dining plating and buffet stand designs for Avenue 48 Restaurant.
Fine Dining Plating at Avenue 48. Glass Plates and Chef Presentation
Avenue 48 is a contemporary all-day dining venue with breakfast buffet, lunch, and dinner services. Furthermore, the restaurant features a minimalist décor with simple lines, geometric shapes, and a neutral muted colour palette with occasional accents such as futuristic lamps and modern murals. Moreover, MyGlassStudio’s designers created a range of glass plates that support chef plating presentation across the full dining service.

For lunch and dinner service, the plate designs include classic square glass plates alongside round plates with square inlets, coloured in soft caramel or dark brown with a Japanese tree pattern. Furthermore, the combination of frosty clear glass and bold designs supports elegant plating for restaurants. Moreover, each piece leaves full room for the chef’s creativity in the presentation of the dishes.

Buffet Stands and Glass Bowls for the Buffet Service
For the buffet service, Avenue 48 selected MyGlassStudio’s metal buffet stands with three glass bowls in milky white. Furthermore, this combination matches the understated décor of the restaurant’s buffet section and adds a clean, elegant contrast. Moreover, this buffet display complements the chef plating plates used throughout the restaurant, creating a unified visual language from table service to buffet display.
