MyGlassStudio designed a bespoke restaurant gold tableware and fine gold tableware collection for Tamarind, a high-end Indian restaurant in Doha, located in the prestigious Lagoona Mall. The restaurant delivers excellent food, attentive service, and an ambiance that can only be described as luxuriously Indian. Furthermore, Tamarind asked MyGlassStudio to design custom Indian restaurant dinnerware featuring the restaurant’s own logo. Moreover, the response from guests has been outstanding, reviews consistently praise both the ambiance and the food presentation created by the gold tableware.

Deep Golden Hues. The Language of Indian Luxury

India has always been celebrated for its symbolic relationship with colour. Gold, in particular, carries deep cultural significance, it represents wealth, grandeur, and ceremony. Therefore, designer Jenny made gold the foundation of the entire restaurant gold tableware collection. Furthermore, she chose deep golden hues that resonate instantly with Tamarind’s luxuriously Indian identity and the expectations of fine dining guests in Doha.

The main show plate features a free-form shape with a large metallized golden surface, real gold tableware that fully earns the name. In addition, Tamarind’s logo sits inside contiguous, irregular circles on the plate surface. This placement gives the logo a natural presence that feels integrated into the design rather than applied as an afterthought. Also, the irregular circles echo the organic, flowing forms found throughout Indian decorative art.

To complete the table setting, Jenny added a metallized Indian-style golden napkin ring. Moreover, the napkin ring uses the same golden finish as the show plates, creating a cohesive and immersive real gold tableware experience from the moment a guest sits down.
