About The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa
MyGlassStudio designed bespoke hotel in-room amenity trays and room amenity pieces for The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa. Furthermore, the hotel opened in November 2011 as Westin’s first property in Abu Dhabi, built around the brand’s signature six pillars of wellness. Moreover, it features 172 rooms and suites, a business centre, spa facilities, and five dining outlets. In addition, MyGlassStudio collaborated with the hotel’s opening team to design both the room amenity program and the buffet dinnerware for the Fairways restaurant. This post focuses on our hotel amenity trays and guest amenities trays for the rooms.
Hotel Amenity Trays for Westin Abu Dhabi
The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa centres its design concept on natural surroundings and wellness. Furthermore, the wellness theme runs through every aspect of the guest experience, from room décor and healthy dining to recreational activities. Therefore, MyGlassStudio’s brief was to design a programme of in-room amenity trays and amenity pieces that reflect this warm, nature-inspired aesthetic.

Guest rooms feature natural earthy colours with vivid accents of blue, orange, and red. Furthermore, simple and elegant furnishings sit alongside curated amenities under Westin’s signature Difference programme. Moreover, MyGlassStudio’s designers created a full range of guest room amenities trays and serveware to accentuate Westin’s unique take on hospitality.

The full amenity programme, view the Room Amenities Catalogue, included amenity fruit plates, amenity boxes, and a variety of platters and bowls for on-demand food amenities. Furthermore, MyGlassStudio designed each piece to cover every aspect of in-room service. Moreover, each piece was crafted to complement the room’s natural interior palette.
Amenity Boxes and Welcome Amenity Trays
One of the most notable designs was the bespoke glass amenity box. Furthermore, these rectangular glass boxes with lids feature a crackled pattern in beige against a clear glass surface. Moreover, the pattern embodies the designer’s vision of Abu Dhabi’s dry desert landscape, evoking the region’s terrain and climate.

MyGlassStudio used these boxes for serving refreshments such as fresh fruits, snacks, and dry fruits. Furthermore, they also serve items from Westin’s signature superfood selection. Moreover, the beige colour matches the overall room décor and carries the desert concept throughout the full amenity programme.

MyGlassStudio also created amenity fruit plates using the same pattern in white. Furthermore, these plates serve as welcome amenities tray pieces presented to guests on arrival. Moreover, their white finish contrasts elegantly with the beige boxes while maintaining a cohesive design language.

The programme also included gold glass amenity plates for dessert presentation. Furthermore, MyGlassStudio designed a range of smaller serving platters with glass bowls for the Westin’s superfood items. Moreover, every piece reflects careful consideration for both functionality and visual impact, precisely what defines outstanding in-room presentation trays for hospitality.
