Buffet Dinnerware at Festiva Restaurant, Galaxy Macau
MyGlassStudio designed a complete collection of buffet dinnerware and hotel dishware for Festiva, the all-day dining restaurant at Galaxy Macau. Furthermore, Galaxy Macau is one of the largest casino resorts in Cotai, having opened in May 2011 with a $1.9 billion investment. The complex features three hotels. Galaxy Hotel, Banyan Tree Macau, and Hotel Okura, alongside 50 restaurants, the world’s largest rooftop wave pool, a sand beach, tropical and Japanese gardens, view the Beach Bar Catalogue, view the Beach Bar Catalogue, a Japanese tea pavilion, a shopping street, and a cinema. Moreover, following the motto “World class, Asian heart”, the resort’s design blends traditional Southeast Asian architecture with contemporary trends. MyGlassStudio worked with Galaxy’s opening team on food presentation concepts for several dining venues. Festiva was among the most elaborate.
Festiva. All-Day Dining with Live Cooking Theatre
Festiva offers a rich selection of international and Asian dishes in an all-day dining format. Furthermore, the restaurant features a “live cooking theatre” as entertainment, allowing guests to watch dishes being prepared in real time. Moreover, the venue is designed as a multi-level space with several thematic zones, each tailored to a different section of the menu. The focal point of the décor is an elaborate metallic flower panel above the open buffet. Elements in marble, glass, wood, and metal surround it. Together they create a rich and appetising atmosphere for buffet dining.

Hotel Buffet Dinnerware Designs. Colour, Form and Function
For Festiva, MyGlassStudio centred the glass collection on orange, a colour, a colour chosen to blend seamlessly with the restaurant’s warm décor palette. Furthermore, MyGlassStudio placed glass trays and platters on dark brown metal stands. These stands matched the marble pattern of the buffet counters. Moreover, this colour and material coordination created a cohesive visual identity across the entire buffet surface. In addition, all buffet dishware shapes are soft, predominantly oval and round. This makes handling easier in the fast-paced environment of a busy all-day dining service.

The complete glassware collection for Festiva included various buffet elevations, buffet trays, glass serving bowls and platters, and smaller glass dishes serving as cutlery rests. Furthermore, MyGlassStudio selected and designed each piece to support elaborate food presentation at every section of the buffet. Moreover, This careful approach to colours, shapes, and patterns helped create a collection that complemented the restaurant’s culinary offer. It also accentuated the style of the interior.
