About The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa
The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa opened in November 2011. Furthermore, it was Westin’s first property in Abu Dhabi. Moreover, the hotel is built around Westin’s “six pillars of wellness,” incorporating well-being into room design, healthy dining, and a rich recreational programme. It features 172 guest rooms and suites, a business centre, and spa facilities. Moreover, five dining outlets complete the offering within the Abu Dhabi Golf Resort.
MyGlassStudio collaborated with the hotel’s opening team to design dinnerware for room amenities and for the Fairways restaurant. In this post, we focus on our buffet table display designs created for Fairways.
Buffet Table Display at Fairways Restaurant
Fairways is an all-day dining venue. Furthermore, it offers a broad selection of Asian, Arabic, and Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant features open cooking stations where guests watch chefs prepare delicacies from fresh ingredients. Moreover, in line with the hotel’s wellness concept, it also offers a Super Foods buffet with power-boosting fresh produce for health-conscious visitors.
Fairways was designed as a modern, sleek, and relaxed space. Furthermore, it features natural colours with wooden and marble elements. Therefore, it demanded a buffet table display that was both visually compelling and operationally robust. MyGlassStudio designed dinnerware that complements the décor. Furthermore, it elevates food presentation across every buffet station.

The buffet section was envisioned as a focal point of the restaurant’s décor. Key designs centred on well-structured buffet table stands. Moreover, each piece was designed as an aesthetic centrepiece to anchor its station visually.

Buffet Table Risers and Centrepieces
MyGlassStudio’s designers created round wheel buffet table displays as centrepieces for the restaurant’s stations. MyGlassStudio designed these as 4-tier buffet table risers with dark metal constructions and glass platters, giving the buffet both height and a striking visual rhythm.

MyGlassStudio also designed rectangular glass serving platters in white and brown hues. In addition, they feature stripe patterns and occasional precious metal highlights. Furthermore, these platters complemented the catering buffet table setup. They added a refined touch to every station.
Serving platters doubling as sushi plates
The designs also included small boat bowls for serving condiments and soft delicacies. MyGlassStudio crafted the bowls in an etching-like black pattern and displayed them on black rectangular serving platters, adding a sophisticated contrast to the overall station décor.

However, the most eye-catching pieces were the glass dessert boxes for the dessert section. MyGlassStudio designed rectangular boxes with sections and lids in clear glass with a cracked pattern in beige, striking in their beauty and perfectly suited to a wellness-themed dining environment.

While fully functional, these glass boxes added a new dimension to the buffet and served as beautiful accents within the overall décor.
