About Le Royal Monceau, Paris
Le Royal Monceau reopened in October 2010 following a dramatic transformation under designer Philippe Starck. This historic Parisian hotel, long a favourite of celebrities and artists, emerged with 149 rooms and suites, a Clarins spa with an indoor pool, and a curated art gallery. Its eclectic décor features contemporary artwork that makes every space unique, far from typical hotel uniformity. La Cuisine, the hotel’s fine dining restaurant, focuses on delicate French food with local flavours and fresh ingredients. MyGlassStudio worked with the hotel team on a brunch buffet set up and brunch buffet display for La Cuisine.
Glass Serving Bowls in Red and Tobacco Brown Crackle Pattern
La Cuisine is described as a cathedral with the feeling of a family dining room. It offers a spontaneous dining experience with all the aspects of a trendy, urban restaurant. The venue features high ceilings decorated with a fresco by Stéphane Calais titled “A Garden in Paris” along with impressive crystal chandeliers. An open kitchen is illuminated by a wall of back-lit bottles in warm colours that contrast with the neutral beige furniture. Therefore, the brunch buffet set up required serving pieces that harmonise with this warmth and organic elegance.

Chef Laurent Andre collaborated with MyGlassStudio’s designers to create brunch catering equipment for the Sunday brunch service. The designs included a range of glass serving bowls in various sizes. MyGlassStudio selected red and tobacco brown colours in a crackle pattern, with a metallic finish that beautifully reflects the restaurant’s warm lighting.
