MyGlassStudio designed a bespoke set of cobalt blue glass plates and cobalt blue dinnerware for Vivaldi, the Michelin-starred Italian restaurant by Chef Alfredo Russo at Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers. The restaurant enjoys breathtaking views of the Creek and the city skyline. Furthermore, its blue and silver interior called for dinnerware that would feel like a natural extension of the space. Therefore, MyGlassStudio created handmade glass show plates that enhance both the luxury of the setting and its stunning waterfront location.
Inspired by the Sea. The Design of the Cobalt Blue Glass Plates
The cobalt blue glass plates draw inspiration from the movement of sea waves. Moreover, each plate uses cobalt blue as the base colour, the same accent tone that defines Vivaldi’s interior design. A metallic light blue is then applied on top using the batik technique, with a free circular hand movement. This creates a unique, fluid mixture of two blue shades that shifts and shimmers across the surface of every plate.

Because every plate is handpainted, no two pieces are identical. In addition, this mirrors the natural world, just as no two waves of the sea are exactly alike.
