About Blue Cilantro
Blue Cilantro is a contemporary dining destination on the Cayman Islands that opened in December 2011 along West Bay Road. Furthermore, the restaurant is run by award-winning Chef Shetty Vidyadhara and offers a fusion of French, Mediterranean, Indian, and Caribbean flavours. Moreover, the concept centres on a place where East and West unite in taste. In addition, the menu changes every two to three months to allow guests to enjoy the full spectrum of seasonal produce. The venue offers indoor and outdoor dining as well as a lounge area. MyGlassStudio worked with the team on tabletop concepts and restaurant tabletop concepts to match this vibrant culinary identity.
Tabletop Concepts for Blue Cilantro, Cayman Islands
Blue Cilantro tells the legend of how the rare blue cilantro helped unite India with Europe. East with West. Furthermore, this founding story shapes the restaurant’s fusion dining concept. Moreover, the venue is designed in blue hues with occasional bright accents, creating an intimate and exotic mood. Therefore, MyGlassStudio’s tabletop concepts needed to translate this blue-hued, fusion aesthetic into the dinnerware itself.

MyGlassStudio worked with the restaurant’s team to transfer the concept to the tabletop. Furthermore, the dinnerware programme included glass show plates, bread and butter plates, and decorative votives and vases. Moreover, the show plates served as the focal point of the entire table setting, designed to instantly wow guests and prepare them for the culinary journey ahead.

MyGlassStudio selected designs from the signature “Pearls” collection to match Blue Cilantro’s concept. Furthermore, the design centred on a “pearl” pattern in signature canal blue, a series of coloured concentric lines on a clear glass background. Moreover, this pattern evokes the playful movement of water circles, echoing the restaurant’s island setting.
